Praline Drink
🛠 Equipment
- Saucepan
- Whisk
- Mug or glass
- Immersion blender
🛒 Ingredients
| 500 ml | Whole milk | |
| 4 tbsp | Praline paste | |
| 100 ml | Heavy cream | |
| 1 packet | Vanilla sugar | |
| 4 | Speculoos cookies | |
| optional | Whipped cream (for topping) |
Preparation
Step 1
Pour the whole milk into a saucepan and heat gently without boiling. Add the praline paste and vanilla sugar, then whisk vigorously until the paste is completely dissolved in the milk. The drink should be perfectly smooth and lightly colored. Let it simmer gently for 2 minutes.
Step 2
Remove from heat and stir in the heavy cream with a whisk to achieve a creamy, velvety texture. If you have an immersion blender, give it a quick blend to make the drink even frothier and airier. Taste and adjust the amount of praline paste to your preference.
Step 3
Coarsely crumble 2 speculoos cookies into the bottom of each mug or glass. Pour the hot drink over them. The cookies will soften slightly while keeping some crunch, adding an irresistible texture to every sip.
Step 4
Top each drink with a generous dollop of whipped cream. Crumble the remaining 2 speculoos cookies over the cream. For an extra praline touch, sprinkle with a few caramelized hazelnut pieces or a drizzle of caramel sauce. Serve immediately and enjoy while hot.
💡 Tips & variations
- Use quality praline paste for an authentic caramelized hazelnut flavor.
- For an even more indulgent version, add a spoonful of Nutella or hazelnut spread.
- Serve hot in winter or warm in summer, with ice cubes for an iced version.
